Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Bible Scholar collects, how it's used, and the choices you have about it.

Last updated: August 19, 2026

The short version

Bible Scholar is an app for reading the Bible, asking questions about Scripture, and saving your own bookmarks, highlights, and studies. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how you can control it. We keep this simple on purpose — if anything here is unclear, just reach out and ask.

What we collect

  • Your account info. If you create an account, that's your email address and anything else you choose to add, like a name.
  • What you save in the app. Bookmarks, highlights, notes, and personalized studies — stored so they're there the next time you open the app.
  • The questions you ask. When you ask Bible Scholar a question or look up a passage, we process that text so we can give you an answer.
  • Basic usage info. Things like app version and device type, so we can catch bugs and make the app better.

How your questions get answered

The research and Q&A features run on AI. When you ask a question, the text is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. We don't attach your name or account to that text, and we don't use your questions to train public AI models.

What we use it for

  • Keeping your bookmarks, highlights, and studies synced and available.
  • Answering your questions and generating research.
  • Helping you when you contact support.
  • Fixing bugs and improving the app.

What we don't do

  • We don't sell your information.
  • We don't use your questions or study content for advertising.
  • We don't share your account details with anyone except the providers we use to run the app (like our AI and hosting providers), or if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your account and saved content as long as your account is active. Want it gone? Ask, and we'll delete it.

Your choices

You can ask us to send you a copy of your data, update your account details, or delete your account entirely. Just contact us and we'll take care of it.

Kids

Bible Scholar isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has shared information with us, let us know and we'll remove it.

Keeping things secure

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no app or website can guarantee perfect security.

If this policy changes

If we make meaningful changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
